I arrived in New Zealand from the UK as a young child. I loved growing up in Wellington and seeing the city change and grow over the years. I expressed myself through art and design at college, then completed a Diploma in Visual Communication Design at Wellington Polytechnic. My career, as a graphic designer, took off and soon I was running my own successful business. In 2005 I  down-sized my business to concentrate on painting. I began exhibiting regularly and in 2007 won the Landscape/Seascape section of the Nelson Regional Art Awards. In January 2012 I completed a Master of Fine Arts Degree at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in Auckland. This two year course took me away from landscapes and back to the urban environment where I grew up. My art is intertwined with my love of travel and wandering global cities, the reflective space of the studio and the exciting process of painting. I work from my home studio in Ruby Bay,  near Nelson, New Zealand. This quiet location is perfect for intense months of creation in-between my international travels. While based in Ruby Bay I enjoy being involved in the local art community. I am represented by galleries in New Zealand and my works are in private collections in New Zealand and overseas. A number of my large scale works are leased to businesses and private homes around New Zealand.
