  • Just over thirty years ago I arrived in New Zealand as the small-child component of an English family. My first impressions were of a powerful and exciting land, and I soon began expressing myself through art and design at school in Wellington. Straight out of college I embarked on a three-year Diploma in Visual Communication Design at Wellington Polytechnic. My career, as a graphic designer, started very well and soon I was running my own successful business.

By 2005 I was ready for more artistic challenges and decided to down-size my business to concentrate on painting. I began exhibiting regularly and in 2007 won the Landscape/Seascape section of the Nelson Regional Art Awards. In January 2012 I completed a two-year full time Master of Fine Arts Postgraduate Degree at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in Auckland.

My painting style has evolved from landscapes to contemporary and evocative expressions of urban wanderings.
